Gran Toros / Sputafuoco Porsche Carrera
The Gran Toros Porsche Carrera 10, model number 6613, is a replica of the 2-liter six-cylinder Porshce 910 coupe race car built between 1966 and 1970. It first raced at Datona in 1967. Porsche designed this car specifically for international endurance racing and to compete with Ferrari and Fords at races such as LeMans. This model was converted from Mebetoys model number A-25. Both models were made simultaneously until the Hot Wheels Gran Toros version (Series Sputafuoco) was discontinued. One of the original Gran Toros, it was part of the Sputafuoco and Heisse Räder Supergorss series and first appeared on the bottom of the North American box and the 1970 Mattel Toyfair catalog, the 1970 Mattel Italian Dealer catalog and the 1970 International catalog.
